Somerset House Open-Air Cinema
London’s stunning Somerset House will turn in an open-air cinema from the 6th to the 19th of August 2015, showing a range of cult, contemporary and classic movies. This year’s films include The Graduate, Roman Holiday and West Side Story.
Notting Hill Carnival
The largest street festival in Europe, Notting Hill Carnival will take place August 30-31. Originated in 1964 as a way for Afro-Caribbean communities to celebrate their own cultures and traditions. Colourful echoes from the southern world in the heart of London!
Shakespeare’s Globe is a reconstruction of Shakespeare’s original Globe Theatre (his theatre burnt down in 1613). Another open-air experience for occasional and permanent Londoners.
Buckingham Palace tour
Every summer Buckingham Palace opens its doors to the public. This year from 25 July to 27 September, if you are in London, you can tour around the Queen’s official London residence and visit the magnificent State Rooms.
If you have been in London you will know that it’s not just about museums and historical sights but also a lot of green! Open the whole years but best to visit in summer, the London’s Royal Parks are one of the prides of the capital and of the whole England.
